Here's a rare, in fact one of a kind, Ibanez AF207 7-string Jazz guitar. 1999 model year. These were made in '99-00 only so these guitars are very rare to begin with.  But this particular one has a story. Somehow, some light dust got under the clear coat in two very small spots, so when it was imported to the Hoshino USA factory where every piece of gear is inspected, the dust was noticed, the guitar was put aside and eventually forgotten about. After 7 years of sitting in the case in a corner of the plant, the guitar was found again and brought to my attention. So I bought it.

The dust is barely noticeable. This is a rare, beautiful guitar with tone you won't believe. This one is in near-new condition as I've only played it a handful of times. Other than that, it has lived in its case (which is included in the sale).

There's a bit more to the story. I was doing some recording and tossed an XLR cable in my studio. The cable got caught on something, took a wild turn and hit the AF207. It put a tiny nick on the body; I was pissed. This beautiful, near new guitar now had this blemish. To fix this, I took the guitar back to the Hoshino USA factory where they have an excellent repair team. What they ended up doing was a little modification, adding an extra knob with a 5-way high frequency filter allowing for nice, subtle tonal variations in the top end to suit all sorts of jazz flavors. This is the only AF207 in the world to have this. And the fact that it was actually done by Ibanez makes it a valid and legit move in my book.
