| DECEMBER 2005 | ||||
| 12/28/05 | Here's a cool heavy rhythmic riff. Gear: DW74 -> VHT Ultralead |
|||
12/21/05 |
This riff is from the song "Shove The Sun Aside" on my cd "Shove The Sun Aside." It's one of my favorite riffs. Gear: DW74 - > Keeley BD-2 -> Keeley DD-3 -> Keeley Comp -> Mesa on clean channel. |
|||
12/14/05 |
Here's a riff in C# that's going to be on an upcoming project I'm working on. The tab for the 6 stringers has a minor change from the 7. Gear used: DW74 (neck pup)-> Keeley DS-1 w/ Ultra Mod (drive on 0) -> Keeley Compressor -> Mesa Stiletto on clean |
|||
12/7/05 |
Here's a quasi-linear, sequenced blues riff in E. Use these kinds of riffs when you find yourself repeatedly playing in one position. Gear used: Ibanez 7 string into a Keeley Compressor into a Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive (for a bit a dirt) into a Mesa Stiletto on clean. |
|||
| NOVEMBER 2005 | ||||
11/30/05 |
Here's one of my favorite riffs. This version has a nice major sound. Listen how some of the notes sustain over the others creating chordal tones. Also, where noted to slide, try to do so while the notes are sustaining. It creates a bit of a pedal steel sound. Try this riff over E or C#m chords. | |||
